Curriculum Pedagogy
Curriculum Pedagogy
According to Merriam-Webster, pedagogy is the “art, science, or profession of teaching especially, education.” This definition covers many aspects of teaching, but pedagogy really comes down to studying – teaching methods. In RNS International School, teaching is learner-centred.
The child is an active participant in their own learning process, while the teacher acts as a facilitator. We also believe that every child is unique and has his/her own learning style. Therefore, we focus on Multiple Intelligences and try to give the children different kinds of experiences like oral work, puzzles, music, problem-solving, hands-on activities, etc. through which they are able to grasp concepts better.
The children are also exposed to nature and technology to equip them to not only compete but also lead the world. Special focus on Collaborative and Project Based Learning is also given here. Our focus on 21 st century skill sets like creativity, critical thinking and Problem solving which would help the learner become independent.
These pedagogical approaches, we believe would benefit the students to gain in self-confidence and become a model to others in society.
